LOCATION:	Verona Aquatic Center, 234 Wildcat Way, Verona, WI 53593, Use door 6 to enter.
Date and Time:	Saturday, February 1, 2025. Pool Opens at 10:30 A.M. Warm-up 11 A.M. Meet starts at 12:00 P.M.
FACILITIES:	8 lane, 25 yard pool with anti-turbulent lane guides, starting blocks and backstroke flags. Lanes 1-7 will be used for competition. The length of the competition course, without a bulkhead, is in compliance and is on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1.
ELIGIBILITY:	Open to all swimmers 18 years and over as of Saturday, February 1, 2025.  There are two membership options: Current USMS membership. One-Event membership. Online entry is required for USMS One-Event memberships. Times swum under USMS One-Event registration are not eligible for USMS Top 10 or records consideration. USMS One-Event memberships are not eligible for USMS or Wisconsin records (individual or relay), All-American consideration or All-Star consideration.
RULES:	Official USMS Masters Rules will govern this meet. All events will be timed finals.  If initial splits are desired, the swimmer is responsible for completing the Split Notification Form and presenting it to the administrative official prior to the end of the meet, or if backstroke or a relay leadoff, prior to the swim.
SEEDING:	Heats will be computer seeded, slowest to fastest. Please submit a reasonably accurate seed time. A “NO TIME” will be seeded in the slowest heat. Age groups and sexes will be combined.
TIMING:	Primary: Automatic timing system (Colorado), Secondary: Semi-automatic with one button, Tertiary: two watches. Note: The timing system precision qualifies as appropriate for setting USMS Records, and Top 10 Consideration. (103.18.5).
WARM-UP PROCEDURE:	Swimmers must enter the pool feet first in a cautious manner. When announced, lanes 6 and 7 will be start and sprint lanes with swimming in one direction only and exiting to the side or end. Lanes 1-5 and lane 8 will be for circle swimming only. NO DIVING STARTS or BACKSTROKE STARTS from the blocks or the deck in these lanes. Hand paddles, kickboards, fins, etc., may not be used at any time during the warmup period. Lane 8 will be the designated lane for warm up/cool down during the meet. No jumping, diving or socializing in Lane 8 or on the handicap ramp while the meet is in progress. Please enter from the shallow end.
ENTRY FEE:	USMS members: pool surcharge: $15.00 plus $3.00 per individual event. Non-USMS members: One-Event membership: $20.00, pool surcharge: $15.00 plus $3.00 per individual event. There are no refunds of entry fees.
ENTRY LIMIT:	Six individual events plus relays. The 1650 Freestyle swim will be limited to the first 24 entries received and each swimmer entered in the event will be responsible for providing a person to count for them. this is a positive check-in event.
ONLINE MEET ENTRY:	Enter online with Club Assistant. The link for this meet is: https://www.clubassistant.com/club/meet_information.cfm?c=2381&smid=19159   The online entry deadline is noon Thursday, January 30, 2025. No deck entries for individual events.
ENTRY DEADLINE:	Paper entries must be received by 6:00 pm, Saturday, January 25, 2025.The Universal Meet Entry Form must be used, one person per form. The liability release must be signed without any alterations. Fees, payable to ‘Madison Area Masters’ and a copy of current USMS registration card must accompany the paper entry form. Deck entries for individual events will not be accepted.

    the meet. All relays will be men's, women's or exactly 2 men and 2 women. 
# Nonconforming event: This relay consists of 2 people.  The first person swims 25 back and 25 breast.  The
    second person swims 25 fly and 25 free.
@ 1650 Freestyle swim: this event will be limited to 24 swimmers.  Swimmers are responsible for having someone count their laps.
