SPECIAL EVENTS:
Event #1 - 800 Free Relay
Event #17 - 8x25 Medley Relay (25 Back to 25 Back to 25 Breast to 25 Breast to 25 Fly to 25 Fly to 25 Free to 25 Free) Swimmers on shallow end of pool will start in the water after the previous swimmer touches the wall. Swimmers on the shallow end may enter the water after the start from the blocks of the stroke they will swim. 
      
TIME:                    
Sunday November 3, 2024, Warm-up 11:00AM, meet starts at 12:30PM.
Doors will open at 10:30AM.

FACILITIES:           
8 lanes, 25-yard pool with anti-turbulent lane guides, starting blocks and backstroke flags. The length of the competition course, without a bulkhead, is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with
articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1.

ELIGIBILITY:      
There are two options for eligibility. 
Option 1:    Open to all Masters Swimmers 18 years old or older. All entrants must be a registered Masters Swimmer and the USMS number must be on the entry. Each entry must be accompanied by a copy of the swimmers 2024 USMS registration card.
                               
Option 2:    One Event Membership. Online registration is required for One Event Membership. Times swam under One Event Membership are not eligible for USMS top ten records consideration. One Event Memberships are not eligible for USMS or Wisconsin records (individual or relay), All-American consideration, or All-Star consideration.

RULES SEEDING:                  
Official Masters Rules will govern this meet. All events will be timed finals. Heats will be seeded slowest to fastest by computer. Please submit a reasonably accurate seed time, a NO TIME will be seeded in the slowest heat. Age groups and sexes will be combined to expedite the meet.

TIMING:                 
Electronic timing: Colorado Timing System (primary: automatic) backed up by two buttons (secondary: semi-automatic) and one watch (tertiary). This level of timing meets requirements for setting USMS records.

WARM-UP PROCEDURE:               
Lane 4 will be a start and sprint lane with swimming in one direction only and exiting to the side or end. Lanes 1-3 and 5-8 will be for circle swimming only. NO DIVING STARTS from the blocks or the deck in lanes 1-3 or 5-8. Swimmers must enter the pool feet first in a cautious manner during warm up. Hand paddles, kickboards, fins, etc., may not be used at any time during the warm up. Lane 8 will be the designated lane for warm-up/warm down during the meet.
No jumping, diving or socializing in lane 8 while the meet is in progress.
                                  
ENTRY FEE ON-LINE:           
$6.00 per individual event, plus a $15.00 pool surcharge. No Charge for relays.  Online entries are paid by credit card to "Madison Area Masters".
One Event Entries are an additional $20.00.
There are no refunds of entry fees.

ENTRY DEADLINE:                   
The On-Line meet entry deadline for the Baraboo meet is Thursday Oct. 31st, 2024. All mail-in paper entries must be in the hands of Tim Capps no later than October 26, 2024.
For mail in entries, the universal entry form must be used, one person per form. The LIABILITY RELEASE must be signed without any alterations. Remember to include a copy of your USMS registration card.
Fees must accompany the entry form.

ENTRY LIMIT:        
Six individual events per day plus relays. The 1000 Freestyle will be limited to the first 14 entries received.
Each person entered in the 1000 freestyle will be responsible for providing a person to count laps.


AWARDS:                 
None
Results will be posted on the Web site, www.wisconsinmastersswimming.com within 48 hours.

*Submit relay entries at the meet. Mixed Relays must consist of 2 men and 2 women. 

Directions From Madison:
I90/94 towards the Dells Use the Baraboo/Portage exit for Hwy 33 West on Hwy 33 towards Baraboo, approx. 14mi Stay on Hwy 33 in Baraboo to Draper St, the third stop light.  Right on Draper St to the High School on the left. Continue up the hill, the Middle School is behind the High School The pool entrance parking lot is on the back side of the Middle School (on top of the hill)

Social:
In the past after the swim meet, we have had a small social at Baraboo Burger Company, 116 4th Ave. Baraboo WI.  Please tentatively plan on going with us for food and refreshments after the swim meet.
