2024 Nash Splash November 2nd, 2024

Dates & Times:

November 2nd, 2024

Session 1: Warm up: 7:00am, Start: 8:00am

 

Facility:

Broomfield Community Center, 280 Spader Way, Broomfield Co. 80020.

8 lanes 25 SCY for competition, 1 lane (lane 9) for continuous warm up/warm down.

Limited seating on deck, stadium seating available. Pool depth varies at the start end, lanes 1-4 are 7 feet deep and lanes 5-9 are 12 feet deep. The turn end is 4 feet deep. Locker rooms and family changing rooms are available. One way diving in lane 1 will start at 7:20AM and lanes 2 & 3 will open at 7:30AM. Not responsible for lost/stolen items.

 

Pool Certification: The competition course is on file with USMS. Eligibility of times achieved in this meet will qualify for USMS records.

 

Sanction:

Sanctioned by COMSA (Colorado Masters Swimming Association) for USMS, Inc. (United States Masters Swimming, Inc.) (Sanction #: 324-S009)

Timing System:

The primary timing system will be Colorado Timing System with Touch Pads and Hy-tek Meet Manager Software. Times can be submitted for USMS records and USMS Top 10 consideration. Backup stop watches will be in use.

Eligibility:

Only Masters Swimmers with 2024 USMS Registration or foreign equivalent may participate. Verification of your current (2024) USMS card or card from foreign master's equivalent must accompany your registration. A one-event USMS (OVET) registration will be available for $20.00 for those that do not hold a current USMS membership or foreign equivalent. OEVT participants are not eligible for Event Rankings, Top 10, USMS records, or other honors (either individual or relay) achieved in that event. Per Article 306.4 of the USMS Rule Book, OEVT registrations are not allowed for virtual championships. For more information about OEVT: USMS OEVT. Rules:

Current USMS Rules govern the competition, including a NO FALSE START RULE, and whistle alerts announcing the start of each race. Age on 11/02/2024 determines competition age. All events are timed finals.

Video and or Photography:

No Video or Photography is allowed from behind the starting blocks at any time.

Equipment:

No Equipment will be allowed during the duration of the meet, including warm-up/warm-down. No hand paddles, kick boards, snorkel’s or pull buoys, etc… are allowed during the Meet.

Entries and Fees:  $35 Flat Fee. Each swimmer will be limited to 4 events and 2 Relays. No refunds. Only online entries submitted through Club Assistant will be accepted, paper entries are not available. The meet will be capped at 100 swimmers.

Entry Deadline:

Meet registration will open on October 1st, 2024, at 12:00AM and close on October 31st 2024, at 11:59AM (midnight) or the maximum of 100 Swimmers has been reached.

On Deck Entries and Late Entries:

On deck entries will not be allowed.

No Entries will be accepted after October 31st 12:00AM or the maximum of 100 Swimmers has been reached.

Seeding:

Entries for all events will be seeded slowest to fastest by entered time, women’s heats will swim before men’s heats. In the interest of time, longer events with a limited number of entries may be combined. Seeding will be done from slow to fast by time. Women and men will be seeded separately, but at the discretion of the Meet Director events may be combined in the interest of time. Event results will be separated. Be sure to enter Short Course Yards times on your registration.

Relays:

Relays will be offered at this meet. Men’s, Women’s and Mixed 200 Free Relay: Event #1 Women, Even #2 Men and Events 3 & 4 are Mixed. Men’s, Women’s and Mixed 400 Medley: Event #35 Women’s, Event #36 Men and Events 37 & 38 Mixed.

Please have any relay’s ready prior to the meet, there will be a short time to set them up prior to each relay event. Only swimmers entered in the meet may swim in a Relay.

Please fill out any Relay entries with the Relay Entry Form. Blank forms will be available at the Meet Management Table.

Age Groups for Individual Events:

Age for the meet is determined as of November 2nd, 2024. Age groups of individual events: 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39… (five year increments as high as necessary).

Age Groups for Relay Events:

Age for the meet is determined as of November 2nd, 2024. Age groups of relay events: 18+, 25+, 30+, 35+… (ten year increments as high as necessary).

Awards:

There will be no awards at this meet. A complementary Nash Splash Latex Cap will be provided to each Registered participant.

Volunteer Positions:

The Nash Splash is looking for volunteers for timers for each lane, a backup timer, a relief timer and a runner. Please sign up at: Meet Volunteer Positions.

Results:

Results will be posted by the Meet Director at the swim meet as soon as possible at: 2024 Nash Splash Results(clubassistant.com) and on Meet Mobile (2024 Nash Splash). Final results will be posted at COMSA.org and USMS.org.

Masters Swimming Scholarship:

All Proceeds will go to fund scholarships for children of Masters Swimmers.

Applications for the scholarship can be submitted at: Nash Splash Submission Form. Deadline for applications is November 1st, 2024 by 12:00AM.

The Nash Splash Scholarship is open to seniors in High School that have an active Colorado Masters parent member. The scholarship is for those seniors that will be furthering their education (2 year college, 4 year college or a trade school). Please include the parent member’s name with the application. All applications must be submitted at: Nash Splash Submission Form and must be received by the closing date of November 1st at 12:00pm. Awards will be announced at the 2024 Nash Splash Meet on Saturday November 2nd, 2024.
