THRICE is Nice 50+100+200 for each stroke and the 400 Kick For Time December 7, 2024

LOCATION: San Leandro High School Swim Center, 2200 Bancroft Ave, San Leandro, CA 94577
DIRECTIONS: From the north: take Hwy 580 East to Exit 31B for Grand Ave toward Downtown. Continue straight onto Dolores Ave, turn left onto Bancroft Ave. Turn left into main parking lot, past the Arts Education Center. From the south: take Hwy 880 North to Washington Ave in San Leandro, exit 31B. Turn right onto Washington, turn right onto 143rd Ave, turn left onto E.14th St, turn right onto 140th Ave, turn left onto Bancroft. The parking lot will be on your right. From the east: take Hwy 580 West to Exit 32A for Benedict Drive, left onto Benedict, left onto Grand Ave., left onto Sybil, left on Bancroft. Turn left into main parking lot, past the Arts Education Center.
PARKING INSTRUCTIONS: Park at the far end of the large SLHS parking lot. Do not park in the small lot in front of the school or in the Faculty Parking lot. Enter into the pool area through the fence gate.
FACILITY: Short course yards with six competition lanes available and at least three warm-up lanes. The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1. The primary timing system will be automatic timing. Times may be submitted for USMS records and USMS Top 10 consideration. Pacific Masters requirements for records and Top 10 consideration are the same as those for USMS.
TIME: Saturday, December 7, 2024. Warmups begin at 8:00 a.m.; Meet begins 9:30 a.m.
RULES & ELIGIBILITY: Current USMS rules will govern the meet. All participants must be age 18 or older as of the last day of the meet and be currently registered members of U.S. Masters Swimming. Foreign swimmers must provide proof of current membership in their country’s Masters Swimming governing body.
ENTRY LIMITS: Swimmers may enter six individual events, plus the non-conforming 400 Kick For Time.
ONLINE ENTRIES: from ClubAssistant. Deadline for submitting online entries is December 4th 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Entry fees are a $30 surcharge plus $5 for each event (no extra charge for the 400 Kick For Time). Refunds not allowed.
DECK ENTRIES: Deck entries will be accepted only from 7:30 am to 8:30 am There will be no exceptions. Deck entries will be charged a $40 surcharge plus $5 for each event (no extra charge for the 400 Kick For Time). Deck entries must pay by check or Zelle (payable to memoswimteam@gmail.com). Pacific Masters requires all swimmers be registered with a valid USMS number before entering meet. Paper USMS registrations will not be accepted at the meet. Non-members can register online using a mobile device and will receive a USMS number at the end of the registration process.
400 Kick For Time: Any athlete entered in Event 1 will be automatically entered in the 400 KFT, a USMS Virtual Event, at no additional charge. Because the 400 Kick For Time is a USMS Virtual event, with different rules from in-person SCY competitions, it requires that swimmers compete with the age group they are on December 31. This rule does not apply to the regular events (#3-26). Adjustments will be made automatically for those with birthdates between and including December 8-31, should they change into another age group.
CHECK-IN: No check-in required for online entries. Deck entries must enter and check in for all events no earlier than 7:30 a.m. and no later than 8:30 a.m. Athletes who do not timely enter or check in will not be seeded in the meet and will not be allowed to swim in any event.
SEEDING: Events will be swum fastest to slowest. (NT) entries will be accepted.
AWARDS: Unique THRICE magnets for anyone completing all three distances of the same stroke. One magnet per person will be given at the conclusion of the meet.
HOSPITALITY: For working officials and volunteers only. Hot chocolate and snacks available for purchase.
