Event: 1.2-mile and 2.4-mile open water swim along the shores of Langley Washington in the waters of Saratoga Passage in Puget Sound. Both events will start in the water finish on the beach. Swimmers will self seed with faster swimmers to the front.
WETSUITS ARE REQUIRED. WATER TEMPERATURE IS EXPECTED TO BE 60 DEGREES OR BELOW
Eligibility: 18 years of age or older as of September 14, 2013; USMS or foreign registration for 2013 or $20 One-Event USMS member fee. Swimmers are also expected to be experienced with open water swimming and need to be able to complete their race in a reasonable time. Hence the follow rules will apply:
**2.4 mile entrants must complete the first 1.2 miles within 50 minutes or they will be pulled from the race.
**1.2 mile entrants must complete the first lap of their course in 30 minutes or they will be pulled from the race.
Rules: Current USMS rules will govern the event. Neoprene wetsuits are required.
Safety: Lifeguards and safety boats will monitor the entire racecourse. Swimmers must wear the swim cap provided and their race number on their hand and upper arm or leg. Swimmers MUST attend the pre-race meeting in order to compete.

11:30a.m-12:45p.m Pre-Race Check-in
12:45p.m. Mandatory Competitors' Meeting for ALL swimmers.
1:15p.m Estimated start time for 1.2 and 2.4 swim group start.
Entry Fees: $45 for either event, $55 for day of registration assuming we can handle the additional swimmers safely. An additional $20 One-Event USMS Registration fee may be charged if not a member of US Masters. Online entry is paid by credit card to "ClubAssistant.com Events".
