Course:  8 lane, 50 Meter pool, using 8 lanes for competition.  Space in the adjacent diving well will be available throughout the meet for warm-up and cool-down.  The length of the competition pool, which features a bulkhead, will be measured for compliance with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 107.2.1.

Positive Check-in:  Positive check-in by 30 minutes prior to the session start will be mandatory for the 800 free on Friday, the 400 Free and 400 IM on Saturday,  and the 1500 free on Sunday. Swimmers who do not confirm their entry at the meet director’s table will be scratched from those events.

Results:  Results may be posted at the meet venue at the discretion of the Meet Director and unofficial real-time results will upload to Meet Mobile. Final results will be available at www.minnesotamasters.com by July 13th. Times swum by non-Minnesota LMSC members are not eligible for Minnesota LMSC records.  All swimmers must be full-year USMS members.

Seeding:  Event seeding and lane assignments will be developed prior to the meet and e-mailed to all registrants.  Some changes in heats or lanes may occur the day of the meet.  All individual events 400 meters and shorter and all relays will be seeded slow to fast.  All individual events longer than 400 meters will be seeded fast to slow.

**Note: Special heat order for 800 and 1500:  The heats for the 800 and 1500 will be interspersed between the 50-meter events in the same session.  The first heat of the distance event will be after the first 50-meter event (all heats).  The second heat of the distance event will be after the second 50-meter event (all heats), etc.  If there are more than 4 heats of the 800, all will be completed before the start of the 200 IM.

Special note for 50 meter events: There will be three opportunities to swim each of the 50-meter events.  Swimmers who swim more than one will, by default, have the second and third swims designated as a “time trial” which will be official, but no points will be allocated to the individual or team.

Split Request: Swimmers must notify the meet director of the intent to record an initial split time prior to the conclusion of the meet with a Split request form.  Pre-swim requests are encouraged in the case of a pad malfunction.  The request for relay lead-off split times and initial backstroke distance times in individual backstroke and relay events must be made prior to the swim.

Relays:  Those organizing relays may sign-up their teams by e-mail to  kostj@umn.edu by July 3, 2023, 11:59 p.m. CDT or fill out and submit a written relay card at the meet and return it to the Meet Director no later than 1 hour before the prospective event.  Each card or e-mail must include the club/workout group name.  For the relay to be official, none may be "unattached".   All relay members must be registered with the same club but may from different workout groups.  The distance and type of relay must be circled or otherwise indicated.   Women's, Men's relay heats may be combined depending on the number of entries.
