ENTRY FEES AND REGISTRATION
A fee of $30 will be charged for advance entries using Club Assistant. Advance entries must be received on or before midnight Thursday, December 3. Pentathlon swimmers are still allowed to swim up to three relay events in addition to the five individual pentathlon events. The pentathlon final results shall be created by adding each swimmer's time in the 50 fly, 50 back, 50 breast, 50 free, and the 100 IM to result in one final pentathlon time.
Looking for more of a challenge?? Enter the middle distance pentathlon (100s of each stroke and 200 IM) or the Super Pentathlon (200s of each stroke and 400 IM)
AWARDS
Individual and relay awards will be given for first through third place by gender and age group for 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, etc... Spectacular Bobble-head Trophies will be given to sprint pentathlon winners in each of these age groups. Those participants who pre-enter the middle distance pentathlon or the super pentathlon and complete all 5 events will receive a special prize.
RELAYS
All relays are deck entered. Relay categories may include men (all male participants), women (all female participants), and mixed (a minimum of two female participants). The youngest age of the four relay team members shall determine the age group (e.g. 18+, 25+, 35+, 45+, etc…). Official relay cards are to be picked up from the timing table and then filled out by a team representative. The relay representative should print legibly all information required. Each card should include the swimmer’s name as on the USMS registration card in relay order; first name, last name, age and gender. Relay cards shall be returned to the timing table by 12:30 PM on the day of the meet.
SEEDING & LANE ASSIGNMENTS
Each event will be seeded by the pre-entered seed time of each swimmer, with the slower heats first. Event 18, the 400 IM will start with the fastest heat and end with the slower heats. Due to time constraints, the 400 IM may be limited to the first 18 entrants. The meet will be deck seeded according to times submitted, regardless of age and gender. No Times (NT) will be seeded in the slower heats. Swimmers are responsible to report to the blocks on time for their appropriate heat and lane for each event.
Heat and lane assignments for all events will be posted by 1:50pm on the day of the event (participants should double check for accuracy).
WARM-UP & COOL-DOWN
Entry into the pool must be feet first in a cautious manner with one hand in contact with the deck. Diving shall be permitted only from the blocks in the designated sprint lanes during warm-up. Warm-up and cool-down lanes will be provided. No diving will be permitted in these lanes. Instructions given by an official must be obeyed at all times. A swimmer may be disqualified at the discretion of the Meet Director or Meet Official for failure to comply with these rules.
