NATATORIUM:  The Busbey Natatorium, 2451 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH, was is recognized as one of the fastest pools in the United States.  The pool is a 9-lane 50 meter pool equipped with automatic timing and digital read-out score board.

LOCATION:  To reach Busbey Natatorium, take I-90 to downtown Cleveland and exit at Chester Avenue.  The Natatorium is located off this exit, just west of I-90.  It is the large brick building between Chester and Euclid Avenues.

ELIGIBILITY:  Entrants must be registered with USMS or an International FINA Masters swimming organization.  Registration for membership to USMS (join/renew) will be available the day of the meet ($45.00 fee). All relays can be swum with 4 Women, 4 Men, or Mixed (2 women and 2 men).  Only swimmers entered in the meet, and belonging to the same registered club or team can participate in relays.
           
AGE GROUPS:  AGE OF COMPETITORS ON DEC 31, 2014 WILL DETERMINE AGE/AGE GROUP. 
Age groups are:  18-24, 25-29, 30-34, . . . , 80-84, 85-89, 90+. 
For Relays the age group is determined by the sum of the ages of the swimmers:  72-99, 100-119, 120-159, 160-199, 200-239, 240-279, 280-319, etc. 
Only registered clubs or teams can enter relays.

AWARDS:  Medals will be awarded for first, second, third.  Relays-first.
           
SEEDING:  All events—with the exception of the 1500, 800 will be preseeded unless meet management determines that the meet cannot be completed in a timely manner. One course will be used for all events. Women’s heats will precede men’s heats for each event, except that men’s and women’s heats may be seeded together for the 1500 and 800 freestyles.  All other events will be seeded by age group, with the oldest age groups first, slowest to fastest within each group.
           
CHECK-IN:  SwimPhone Online Check-In is available for the 800 Free and 1500 Free.  SwimPhone is a website - there is no App to download - just open a browser and go to SwimPhone.com and look for GG9 Swim Meet.  SwimPhone Online Check-In opens the morning before the event, and closes at 7:30am on the day of the event.  Coaches or teammates may check in for swimmers whose travel plans do not permit check-in by the deadlines. Any swimmer failing to check in will be scratched from that event and will not be permitted to swim that event at another time.
           
HEAT & PSYCH SHEETS:  Psych sheets for all individual events will be available at SwimPhone.com. SwimPhone is a website - there is no App to download - just open a browser and go to SwimPhone.com and search for GG9 Swim Meet. Heat sheets for preseeded events will also be available online. Heat sheets for deck-seeded events will be posted at various places around the pool deck and on SwimPhone.com for swimmers after the check-in deadlines.

WARM UP:   The competition pool will be open for warm-up on August 10 – August 15.  The competition pool will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 8:50 a.m. and the warm-up pool will be available from 7:00 a.m. until the conclusion of the day’s final event.

MEET START TIMES: The competition will start at 9:00 a.m. every day unless it is determined that the timeline will go too late into the day; then competition may start as early as 8:30 a.m. on any day.

RELAYS:  Relays can be entered the day before and up until 8:15am of the day the relay is scheduled. Relay entries may be submitted at the relay desk in the registration area. Each of the four members of a relay team must be registered with the same team or club. Relay entry forms are available for download at 2014gaygamescleveland.com and at the registration area. 

SCRATCHES:  Any swimmer failing to report to the proper lane in the correct heat of an event will be scratched from that event and not permitted to swim that event at another time.

NUMBER OF EVENTS:  All swimmers will be allowed to swim a maximum of five (5) individual events and three (3) relays. A team may enter as many relays as possible in compliance with individual swimmer relay limits.
