Asphalt Green will host the Swim for the Future Swim Meet on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. All proceeds from the event support Swim for the Future scholarships for young, deserving swimmers.

After losing Andrew Fisher and Doug Irgang in the attacks of September 11, their two families came together with the Asphalt Green community to create a legacy that would honor their love of swimming through scholarships. Swim for the Future scholarships give talented children the opportunity to grow as athletes on the Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics (AGUA) swim team.

This year, athletes will compete in an integrated Texas shootout style meet with no relays. Swimmers will select two strokes in which to compete, and the top two swimmers in each heat will advance. The final heat winner will be crowned “Grand Champion.”

Meet entry is free, with a suggested $20 donation. All donations will go directly to Swim for the Future scholarships and are tax-deductible. A full scholarship costs $4,376 for the year and it offers a lifetime of confidence building—in and out of the pool! Please give as generously as possible.
